Steven Paganelli- Business Development- CVBs & DMOs

steve1In his role at TIG Global, Steven Paganelli is responsible for developing strategic relationships with Destination Management Organizations and Convention & Visitor Bureaus, both locally and globally, and delivering targeted service that caters to the highly specialized needs of the travel organization industry.

As former President & CEO of two Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Steven has overseen two major destination website redesigns, site facelifts, the selection of SMI’s Destination 3000 database management solution and its integration with the Bureau’s website. In addition, he spearheaded the launch of two micro-sites geared towards kayaking and fly-fishing enthusiasts. In New Haven, Steven launched a partnership with Travelocity to evolve the Bureau’s site into an eCommerce portal, introduced a dining-oriented blog, implemented marketing pages to enhance SEO and initiated the Bureau’s first PPC campaigns. These projects have been guided by the application of Bureau Best Practices and extensive, commissioned and syndicated consumer research.

Under Steven’s leadership, his bureaus have been recognized with HSMAI’s prestigious Adrian Award, by the American Business Association, with the then International Association of Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Idea Fair “Best of Show,” and with numerous awards by the Northeast Economic Development Association. He recently concluded a three-year term on the Board of the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI).  Steven majored in Speech Communication Arts at Hofstra University with minors in English, History and Psychology.

Since joining TIG Global in 2007, Steven has personally overseen the development of new website design and interactive marketing plans for the Richmond Metropolitan CVB, Stockton CVB, Curacao Tourist Board, San Diego North CVB, CVBreps.com, Longmont Area Visitors Association, and Capital Region USA.
